S&M Intrikat Signature Frame Production Model
« on: January 10, 2011, 05:01:04 PM »
The S&M Intrikat Signature frames are ready to be shipped.

This batch has 19" and 19.5" top tubes and available in black or red.

We've made some subtle changes for the production model, most noticeable is the "S" bend chain stays rather than the wishbone that was on the first two prototypes.

The angle on the chain stays is different now also, they bend in more so the outside of the tube meets the outside of the drop out which makes a nice smooth, shoe friendly surface. The angle of the slots is cut so that the headtube angle doesn't change wherever your wheel is mounted, slammed or pulled back, same ht degree.

New headtube and bottom bracket as well.

Oh yeah, graphics also.

I'm really stoked how this frame turned out, after months of testing I can honestly say it's dialed. It's really responsive to handle modern flatland as well as super strong, no flex. Classic style with tech details.

For me, it's perfect. For those of you who require something a little different, S&M will offer this design as a base for a custom frame:

The Intrikat frame will be added to the site soon.
Ride on.

A few photos of the new S&M Bikes Intrikat frame have been posted in our forum along with comments on the final production model. Compared to the first prototype version a few things changed like the chainstay shape and angle. The first batch has 19" and 19.5" top tubes and is available in black or red. For those of you who require something a little different, S&M will offer this design as a base for a custom frame.

I was really hoping to replace my Sabbath with this bike later on in th year. But I need brakes. I'm sure you can get them as a custom, but I'd be lucky to come up with the 4 bills for a stock one, let alone more $$ for brakes added to one.
