Good evening guys,

I said that I'll post some pictures of my KHE A-Damn LT when it came - and today, it did. So, let's get into it :)

Delivery

I ordered bike on 18.5. from winstanleysbikes.co.uk (I can really recommend them for price - they have some serious discounts going on - about other stuff, later). It came today, 25.5., but already was in Czech Republic on Friday (21.5.) - but Parcel Force doesn't work on weekend in Czech Republic. On Monday, Parcel Force driver didn't manage to find my house, so it was one-day-late. Arrgh. That's, on the other hand, hardly winstanleysbikes.co.uk fault.

Overall:
Delivery was faster than I expected and I'm okay with it.

Packaging & Assembling

Bike came like 80% assembled in cartoon box. It was well tied up and it hold together pretty well. If I can blame winstanleysbikes.co.uk for something, it's that some parts (Handlebars - http://yfrog.com/b8img0419pij - http://yfrog.com/jqimg0415yxj - http://yfrog.com/jqimg0418cbj) came in a "rusty" bag, which make them a bit dirty. Nothing that petrol can't get you rid of. What make me a bit oooh' was that frame was (a very little) scratched on the front (I can make picture tomorrow). It wasn't some serious scratch though.

Overall: Bike came tied up and protected pretty well, but it was a bit dirty from rust (not rusted though!) on some party. No big deal.

I wasn't riding today (I had to visit my girlfriend to broke up... lol ), so I'll give you guys a whisp how was it like tomorrow.

Bike seems pretty nice, much lighter than my old GT Finale 08' (by ~2 kilograms) and its geometry already gives me a serious boner. I'm really excited about tomorrow's ride. By the way, I can make some more specific pics if anyone's interested.

-------------------

Fun fact No. 1: When I first saw KHE Alchemy Pegs, I was like "Wtf, should I ride on these smooth plastic boosicht?". I realized like 5 minutes later that there is that rough sticky "paper" that you have to stick on those pegs. Man, I felt stupid.

Fun fact No. 2: I spent ~30 minutes trying to make my right pedal go into cranks. It was SO fu-king annoying I almost throw that pedal out of window. Did they send me pedal / cranks with fu-ked sealing or what?!

No. You have to mount right pedal counter-clockwise .

Cheers!

Handlebars themselves weren't rusty (check pics). They only lied in pack that was dirty from rust-dust, and that make them dirty. Well, it might be normal dust, but judging from its color, it seems like rust-dust (lol, now I'm confused).

am i the only one who gets off on reading instruction manuals?

Mine didn't come with one. Hey that's a good question, Moki did your bike come with an instruction manual or anything about how to maintain parts?
Well, I got a manual with it, but it's just that 'this is a wheel and this is how bmx bike looks' kind of manual. So, pretty useless. Why? Something's wrong?

What pic do you mean PZA? I am not really whinging of whatever - as I said, it take like one minute to take it down with petrol.

It looked so crappy I just opened it, then close five seconds later (since there was picture of some street bike with F-set and wtf, not even specific model as you mentioned).

dont quote me!  :P

wtf...
How dare you!:O

So I finally got to ride that fancy two wheel thing. And wow, it's simply amazing. I knew there will be some skill-up, but didn't expect such a big one. Spinning is 1000% easier and smoother (old GT had awfully thick tires, this thingy has 1.5' [are those numbers inches, right?]).

It's so light that I can even take it off the ground for pedal manual by just moving my weight (that was utopia with GT) to the back. Peg Wheelie is so much easier I can't even describe it. Freecoaster seems like a nice thing (although I like to kick-n-spin my pedals, which now I can't), but I didn't try it out well, since I still treat that bike like its from the glass, so Whiplashes and Tailwhips are a bit tabu (for a few days, heh).

It's raining all the freakin' time here, so I can't really get for a ride, but even from this one hour stand I can say it's piece of masterpiece.

Also, some questions. How much pressure do you put into your tires? Do you fasten down pegs as much as you can, or you leave it when you feel it's just hard to hitch them more?

Thanks & cheers!

Funny, when i brought my khe bram bars they came in a bag exactly the same with rust in the bag??? Must be something khe is doing?? Strange i thought it was a one off but obviously not...

Wow, that's like 80 kilometers away :) My mom lives in Brno. Hope you like it here (there are some nice chicks in Czech Republic ;D).

And that bike is just great, I'd say that for this price, it should be amazing deal. It's pretty light and geometry is just great :) If you have money, go for it!:)

They say that Opsis is pretty good, too. To me, it looks a bit less flatland-ish though. Still, nice bike :)

Yah >< i didnt have much of a choice or at least i thought i didnt till i bumped into this thread. O well... as soon as i get a job again ill get me something sick :D i was thinking a tantra :D Plus i didnt really want a reaaaal nice bike or i would have problems trying to learn on it (woulndt wanna drop it or chip the paint) so i just went with something basic in case i didnt like flatland.
