« on: May 20, 2010, 12:59:54 PM »
Motel Works is a new brand from Japan. For now they are selling a complete bikes called AUX with a basic setup that should be good for beginners and intermediate riders. The man behind this project is Kotaro Tanaka.

You can find details about the complete bike on the website www.motelworks.com as well as further information in Japanese.

Wow, that's some constructive criticism right there! Thanks!

Too bad it's all Japanese (website).

They looks nice, but I don't really like "straights" tubes on frame. I'd rather see something more curved. It reminds me my GT Finale 08 :D

It still amazes me how entry level bikes nowadays come with 3-piece cranks, freecoasters, and other bits out of the box... I had to save for DAYS to get my first set of Profiles, and then even longer to get my Nankai backslide hub (my first ever fc). New riders got it good nowadays...  ;D

i've seen a few intemediate complete bikes for flatland, Motel Works has seriously raised the
bar on parts package and constuction of the frame is superb for a non cromo tubing.
to me is more like a first class immitation of a pro setup than an intermediate setup.
and the best part is its even cheaper.
I have 2 sample ready to roll at momentumlove.com, we are still waiting for July production.
From what I see, the parts that AUX is setup with is super good.
Alex DM22 rims, sealed bearing TASKA freecoaster and front hub and transperant padel
is not the type of detail I've seen on an intermediate setup before.

Kotaro Tanaka must be very proud of this project, the words I get is that the English version
website will be up soon. For those rider around south east asia (singapore, thailand, phillipines, malaysia, indonesia) tune to momentumlove.com or momentumlove.com/blog if you are interested with Motel Works. :D
