Elusion
Elusion is an experimental flatland film by Tex Thayer with a music score composed specifically for it by musician Matilda. With a running time of 16 minutes it's quite short compared to other videos but nevertheless it features 43 riders. There is no filler of any kind and it was shot entirely on dollies and steadicam in 24p. About Elusion:
"A non-narrative experimental documentary that is like a waking dream. The film takes the best tricks from the myths, legends and ghosts of the North American BMX flatland community and flows them from one scene to the next in fluid motion with an original score that pulls its viewers inward."
Elusion is playing at three upcoming Film Festivals starting next Friday:
- Ybor Festival of the Moving Image - April 19-22, 2007 (Tampa, FL)
- Fearless Film Festival - April 21-22, 2007 (Ft. Worth, TX)
- Bare Bones International Film Festival - April 23-29, 2007 (Muskogee, OK)
The DVD will be coming out in Europe this fall. It will be a Two Disc Set - a DVD with the film, commentaries, deleted scenes, trailers, interviews and loads of extras and a Soundtrack CD with all the music from the film and DVD menus, full versions of the songs from the film, bonus tracks and remixes.
